About the Market!

After many years of absence the Cameron County Farmers Market was resurrected in 2022 thanks to the handwork and passion of a couple of locals . They scoured the county looking for growers, bakers, artisans and producers of home-made products and they were overwhelmed with the  positive response they got, both from the diverse and talented group of vendors that came forward excited to sell their wares and also the rest of the community that were thrilled for the opportunity to buy their delicious and creative goods!

The first season was a big success, with the market growing every month as more and more vendors came forward wanting to participate. The level of talent, skill, hard work and love that these locals put into their respective crafts was impressive and the community came out in droves every market day to support them.

It was an easy decision to make these markets an annual event and the organizers are planning on hosting two market days per month, on every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month, from May until October for the 2023 season.

Most of the markets will be held at the Emporium Town Square (44 East 4th St) from 9am to 12pm, except for a couple of days that will be held simultaneously with other events. These markets will be held on Chestnut St between 3rd St & 4th St, as indicated in the dates above

The Market's Vendors

You will find a very diverse group of vendors at the markets selling everything from fresh home-grown produce, delicious home-baked goods and honey/beeswax products to beautifully crafted knitted and woven garments, original artwork and home-made wellness products. They are also planning on adding food trucks and entertainment to enhance the vibe and make the whole market experience even more enjoyable. Come out to support our talented locals and feel the happy, small town buzz of a thriving community!
